What we look for

1. Subject mastery

A bachelor's degree or higher in the subject you plan to teach. For olympiad subjects, we also accept strong competition records in place of a formal degree, as long as the rest of the profile holds up.

2. Teaching experience

At least one year of teaching, online or in person. We pay attention to how you explain a concept, not how polished your delivery is. Patience for the basics counts more than flash.

3. Communication

You can explain ideas clearly and simply, in the language the family prefers (Chinese, English, or Spanish). You can write a short feedback note after each session without sounding robotic.

4. Stable hours

You can commit to 10 or more teaching hours per week, sustained over at least six months. We understand life happens, but consistent availability is what makes the matching work.
